Buckley Award Ceremony to Hail Rising Conservative Stars

The Young Conservatives Coalition will host the second annual Young Conservative Leadership Buckley Award ceremony, recognizing five conservative rising stars who’ve made significant contributions within the conservative movement over the past year. All winners are younger than 40. The ceremony, slated for Thursday, Sept, 29, is in honor of the late William F. Buckley Jr., the conservative movement leader and icon who founded National Review, wrote 40 books, including God and Man at Yale, and published a regular column syndicated to 300 newspapers. He educated and inspired thousands of conservatives, especially young ones, through his articles, books and TV appearances…

“Buckley Award” Winners

Award ceremony will take place on Thurs, Sept. 29th from 6-8pm at The Capitol Hill Club

The Young Conservatives Coalition will award five young professional conservatives with their prestigious Young Conservative Leadership “Buckley Award.” The award ceremony will take place on Thursday, September 29th from 6-8pm at The Capitol Hill Club, at 300 First Street, SE, Washington, DC 20003, with guest speaker Kathryn Lopez, Online Editor for National Review.

The awards will recognize individuals between the ages of 21-40 who’ve made a significant contribution to the conservative movement at large in the last year. The awards are in honor of the late William F. Buckley Jr. – a conservative movement leader/icon who founded National Review and wrote God & Man at Yale all before the age of 30.

Award Winners:

The Young Conservatives Coalition will be awarding 5 young professional conservatives who’ve made a significant contribution to the conservative movement at large or in their home state. The awards are called the Young Conservative Leadership Awards, or the “Buckley Awards.”

These awards will recognize the unique contributions young conservatives play in the conservative movement and will highlight their successes, while also honoring William F. Buckley Jr. – a conservative movement leader/icon who founded National Review and wrote God & Man at Yale all before the age of 30. Prior award winners include: Hannah Giles, Brendan Steinhauser, along with many others. Last year, Rep. Cantor, Jonah Goldberg, and Erick Erickson spoke to our winners and guests.

We are honored to keep the guest speaker within the NR family as the award is a tribute to WFB. This year, National Review Online Editor Kathryn Lopez will receive and speak to our winners about young conservative leadership on college campuses, at the grassroots, and in one’s daily life.

TheTeaParty.net Announces Twitter Presidential Debate to be Held July 20, 2011

This first-of-its-kind debate will use proprietary Twitter platform

Phoenix, AZ – June 23, 2011 — www.TheTeaParty.net announced today that on July 20th, 2011 they will be hosting a groundbreaking Republican Presidential primary debate that will use a proprietary streaming Twitter platform as the key debate medium and that many top presidential candidates have already confirmed participation.

The event will be moderated by nationally syndicated talk show host, Rusty Humphries, and other conservative/Tea Party personalities who will be announced in the weeks leading up to the debate. TheTeaParty.net has already agreed to have the New Hampshire Tea Party Coalition cosponsor the event, and local Tea Party organizations from around the country will be given the same opportunity.
