Christopher Malagisi is a noted conservative movement expert, educator, writer and entrepreneur. He currently runs a political project consulting company specializing in Online Political Education, Coalitions & Outreach, and Event Management, primarily working with center-right organizations and campaigns. He is also President of the Young Conservatives Coalition – a DC-based leadership, educational and networking association that organizes many popular programs and events, including the annual “Buckley Awards,” Reaganpalooza, and six-month long Young Conservative Leaders Fellowship. Additionally, he has been an Adjunct Professor at American University since 2008 teaching History of the Conservative Movement.
Malagisi previously was the CPAC Director & Director of External Relations for the American Conservative Union, worked at The Leadership Institute as Education Director for the Conservatism 101 online education initiative and as their Director of Political & New Media Training, training over 5,000 candidates and activists. Additionally, he’s served in coalition leadership positions on four presidential campaigns, and has worked at the International Republican Institute, The Republican Party of Virginia, and on Capitol Hill.
He’s been published in over a dozen publications and has been a political analyst on Fox News, Fox Business, CNN and CSPAN. He has been recognized as a “DC Mover & Shaker” and received the “Rising Star Award” from Campaigns & Elections magazine, and was awarded the “Conservative Leader Award” from The Leadership Institute.
He is a frequent speaker at numerous conservative conferences and college campuses, serves on the Board of Trustees for The Philadelphia Society, is a Young President’s Club member of The Heritage Foundation and has completed fellowships with the National Review Institute, Foreign Policy Initiative, Claremont Institute and Hertog Fellowship. He received his M.P.A. from Syracuse University and B.A. in Political Science from American University, and is originally from Buffalo, NY.

Sarah Smith is formerly an external relations/development officer at Americans for Prosperity. Most recently, she served as a recruiter at Positions Inc., specializing in government relations, association, and non-profit placement. Prior to recruiting, Sarah was the manager of political research and the K Street Project at Americans for Tax Reform (ATR). There she ran ATR’s job employment service and the monthly Americans for Tax Reform Job Listings. Sarah started her career in Washington interning with the Republican National Committee major donor program, the Eagles. Sarah is also a veteran of many campaigns, such as the Bush/Cheney ’04 re-election
She received her B.A. in International Affairs with honors and a concentration in Spanish from Mary Washington College in Fredericksburg, VA.campaign, where she worked as the Pennsylvania team leader & field representative for the College Republican National Committee. She has also served as the Chair on the DC Steering Committees for the releases of critically acclaimed independent films, Bella and The Stoning of Soraya M. Currently, Sarah serves on the board of Political Chicks RightNOW.

Richard Lim is a former political appointee for the White House and the U.S. Department of Labor and has also served at the U.S. Departments of State and Justice. He is a graduate of the Maxwell School at Syracuse University with a Master of Public Administration and a Certificate in Advanced Security Studies from the Lauder School of Government in the Interdisciplinary Center in Herzliya, Israel. He currently works at George Washington’s Mount Vernon Estate, Museum & Gardens.

Tim is currently a partner at Columbia Books & Information Services, the leading specialty information publishing firm for the government relations and association community for nearly 50 years. Columbia Books is home to such notable publications as The Original US Congress Handbook, The Washington Representatives Directory, Lobbyists.info, and Association Trends, as well as partnering with the American League of Lobbyists on the Lobbying Certificate Program.
An Aggie from San Antonio, Tim also lived in Bryan/College Station and Dallas before moving to Washington, D.C. to help fundraise for Members of Congress and charities close to his heart. Tim is married to Shana and they live in Virginia with their four children.
When not working, Tim can be found two-stepping, mountain biking, whitewater kayaking, or teaching kayaking classes (although not all at the same time).

William J. Haun is the YCC’s Fellowship Director. He is a law clerk to Judge Claude M. Hilton of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia and previously clerked for an administrative law judge at the U.S. Department of Labor. Mr. Haun previously worked for the U.S. Department of Justice, Public Integrity Section, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for Maryland, for law professor and litigator Mark Rienzi, and under former U.S. Attorney General Edwin Meese at the Heritage Foundation. He was also a 2013 recipient of the Claremont Institute’s John Marshall Fellowship. Mr. Haun’s written work on EPA regulation of greenhouse gases has been cited by the U.S. Senate Committee on the Environment and Public Works, and in popular publications such as Forbes magazine. His scholarship on religious liberty law is cited in lead articles in the Emory Law Journal and Houston Law Review. He is Vice-Chair of the John Carroll Society Community Projects Committee.
Mr. Haun received his J.D. cum laude from the Catholic University of America, Columbus School of Law, where he was a published member of the Catholic University Law Review and a national symposium executive editor of the Harvard Journal of Law and Public Policy. He received his B.A. cum laude in political science from American University and received the William Randolph Hearst Foundation’s U.S. Senate Youth Scholarship in 2005. Mr. Haun resides with his family in Chevy Chase, Maryland.
Matt Wolking currently works as a communications advisor to Speaker of the House John Boehner. Previously, he worked as communications director for a Republican Member of the U.S. House of Representatives. He is the former executive producer of The Laura Ingraham Show, a national conservative political talk radio show.
He was selected as the 2009 National Grand Prize Winner of Young America’s Foundation’s essay contest and his commentary has been published in Human Events and The Daily Caller. He has also appeared on TheBlaze TV and The G. Gordon Liddy Show.
He received his B.A. in American Politics and Policy from Patrick Henry College in Virginia.

A native Texan, Shana Teehan is a proud, homeschooling mother of four. Shana has worked for several conservative candidates, personalities and organizations from across the country, helping to develop comprehensive media and public relations strategies for brand promotion, advocacy, fundraising and list-building. A resident of Alabama for the last several years, Shana served as Communications Director for the Alabama Republican Party. Recently, Shana relocated to D.C. to join Congressman Kevin Brady’s team as his Press Secretary. Her children, Molly, Alex, Jak, Sam, and of course, her husband, Tim, are excited about exploring our nation’s capitol as a family.
